Fulfillment

Summer Solstice is a time of fulfillment.  Seeds have sprouted and are now producing flowers and fruit.  Plants that we placed in the ground are growing to their full potential with our care and attention.  Animals are nurturing their young into maturity and independence.  We ourselves have put well-honed dreams into the ether, and now is the time of their fullest expression.  Who we are is what is coming to pass.  These days bring us opportunities to be our deepest and best selves.  Our task is to stay focused and to pay attention to the opportunities that show up on our paths.  Every step brings something new and also shows us the latest version of our most authentic selves.  Creation happens every day.  Celebrate the sun shining brightly on our beings as we live our truth!
"We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled.  The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out."

Remembering

This is a time of remembering those who have gone before us.  Remembering those who have paved the way for our lights to shine.  It's a time for remembering those we may have recently had to let go of.  A time for reflecting on those who have helped us on our own paths.  This time is about remembering what we came here to do, and that we are here to shine the light in our own way.  Remembering brings gratitude.  This is a time of remembering who we are in each moment.  We are all connected.  We are all members of the community of Love and Light.
"Greetings and thanks to each other as people, and for all the gifts of creation, for all the love around us.  Greetings and thanks, and for that which is forgotten we remember.  We end our words.  Now our minds are one."

New Life

We are here in the season of rebirth and new life.  So many trees and plants are emerging from their dormancy--waking up, greening and blooming.  Animals have emerged from their winter dens and nests, seeking sustenance and creating new generations. Each year brings new growth, like the rings that expand in the trees.  We cycle around to this growing season with a vision of improvement and expansion from even just a year ago.  The feeling of fresh and new is in the air.  It's time to begin again, and to open ourselves to the new life that is creating itself daily.
"Nourish your Tree.  Aspire to a high place....  Let the nourishing sap of life flow through your veins.  As a tree grows, its branches reach out all around.  Transcend and include."

Spring Blossoms

I have been enjoying all of the bright blossoms that are emerging on the trees I see as I move through my day.  They are welcome signs that the challenging days of winter are giving way to warmth and growth.  Spring brings us the message that our best hopes have the potential to come to fruition; parts of us that have been dormant are rubbing the sleep from their eyes.  It is in this changing time of year that Spring blossoms, and so do we.
"May all that is unlived in you
Blossom into a future
Graced with love."

Stepping Out

Stepping out--away from the known--into the Unknown.  It's a leap; it's a risk.  It's an invitation we can accept or decline.  Stepping into new beginnings is vital to our continued growth and expansion.  We release the old skin or shell so that we can grow into a new, more flexible one or larger one.  This process keeps us in touch with our soul selves and gives us the vitality to keep living at our growing edge.
"Awaken your spirit to adventure;
Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk;
Soon you will be home in a new rhythm,
For your soul senses the world that awaits you."

Letting Go/Beginning

Changes come.  We let go, we release.  We start again.  Plants have let go of their leaves and stems.  Animals have scaled back their outdoor wanderings.  All are hunkered down during winter's cold days.  As we are challenged by the changes of our times, we could take a lesson from these living beings since they are quite familiar with moving through this change process every year.  Change is constant and inevitable. Letting go and beginning again are essential elements for friendly change.  They bring us to a place of new life and creative promise.
"The hardest part of anything is the beginning, and the second hardest part is letting go when it's the end."                                           --E. Fritz

Cooperation

We are temporary guests in this home we call Earth.  We have behaved poorly as guests, taking advantage of and exploiting the gifts this home has shared with us.  I'm feeling like we have done more harm than good in our sojourn here.  Isn't it time we all, not just indigenous cultures, turned our attention toward partnering with the earth?  Cooperation could be life-changing and life-saving.

"Three primary essentials of genius--an eye that can see nature, a heart that can feel nature, and a boldness that dares follow it."
